  • Cariuma uses medium proportion of lower impact materials, such as:
    • GRS-certified post consumer materials, like recycled nylon/PET
    • natural materials, like organic cotton, rubber, mamona oil, cork, bamboo (FSC and OEKO-TEX-certified), sugarcane (I’M GREEN-certified)
  • It sources its leather and suede materials from Leather Working Group (LWG) Gold-Rated suppliers that recycle water, utilize renewable energy and have a closed-loop tanning chemical system.
    • GRS-certified post consumer materials, like recycled nylon/PET
    • natural materials, like organic cotton, rubber, mamona oil, cork, bamboo (FSC and OEKO-TEX-certified), sugarcane (I’M GREEN-certified)
  • By making its products from hand and in small batches, it reduces its carbon footprint.
    • GRS-certified post consumer materials, like recycled nylon/PET
    • natural materials, like organic cotton, rubber, mamona oil, cork, bamboo (FSC and OEKO-TEX-certified), sugarcane (I’M GREEN-certified)
  • It uses Bluesign-certified chemical dyes to reduce pollution and water usage.
  • A majority of its manufacturing takes place in China, with a few sneakers made in Brazil.
  • It has a year-round quality collection with few items, and unlike fast fashion brands, micro-trends are not followed.
  • Its single box packaging is made from 100% FSC-certified recycled/recyclable paper and soy-based inks are used for colour.
